This year, we are asking each of us to take a small but powerful step: talk to the people around you.
Share the risk factors. Ask your loved ones when they last had a health check-up. Encourage your colleagues to take five minutes to learn whether they may be at risk.
Diabetes, high blood pressure, a family history of kidney disease — these are not abstractions. They are the lives of people we know.
